The Battle To Keep Children Clean on a Farm

Farms and mud. It comes with the territory. Part of the job description.

Boo isn’t too bad. Her little brother on the other hand is like a magnet for all things dirt. I think he was nine months old when he first got diesel on something and the situation hasn’t improved.

Sick of trying to get dirt and stains out of everything, I did what I should have done in the first place and got them farm overalls.

Known for their hard wearing work wear, Dickies has been going since 1922. With a whole selection of waterproofs, footwear and high-vis items for men and women, I was so pleased to see that they also do overalls for children.

The children’s come in two styles and three colour options.

I opted for the Redhawk Junior Zip Front Overall for no other reason than it came in red which matches Daddy’s tractor.

The sizes are very generous-most probably so you can layer them up underneath on cold winter days.

I couldn’t wait to try them on the children.

I am a sucker for matching outfits and fully intend to continue doing this until one or both of them refuse.

The overalls zip means it is so easy to get on and off. If a certain little boy is itching to get outside, fiddly buttons just don’t work at all.

I just put him in the suit, zipped him up and off he skipped ready for anything.

The amount of dirt found by my two meant I had to wash the outfits after the first wear but you can feel the quality of the material and they washed really well which, if you ask me, is a bonus as I think they will be worn so much that the wash is where they will spend a lot of their time.

Dickies really is a must for any little (or big) farmers out there.

The Redhawk suit costs £18.95 which is really reasonable for the quality. I just wish I’d got them two pairs each.

I have already saved a fortune in stain remover.

*We were kindly sent the Dickies suits for the purpose of this review but all opinions and grubby children are my own.
