Blogging-The Out-Takes

image

I think it is a known thing that, to get a good photo of your children, you have to take around ten snaps before you get the one.

Likewise, throwing animals into the mix-especially farm animals, is the main reason, the memory on my iPhone is continually full.

Being a blogger, I am always taking random shots of things but, if you thought it was bad getting a pic of your kids, you should see my photographs for the blog.

The ones that didn’t make it.

With the flash. Without the flash. Seeing that the light should have been coming from a different angle, getting the shadow of your iPhone/arm/double chin in the picture by mistake.

For every photo you see published on this blog, there may well have been 165 photos that didn’t make the cut.

What happens to those photos?

Well usually, they get deleted but sometimes, just sometimes, they end up being better than the staged pictures.

It doesn’t help when I need a photo of myself and my chief photographer is Hubster who has very big hands, having to press a very small button on the phone.

Oh we’ve had some crackers.

Many of the best have been me telling him off whilst having my picture taken.

Some have been Boo acting up during the posing. I’ve had photos taken with horses that have reared up mid-photo.

So next time you look at someone’s beautifully staged blog pictures, think of the out takes.

They will often be funnier than the real thing.

They do say never work with children or animals. I have no chance.

D hassles photographing flowers. Mancunian weather and lack of sunshine is a challenge. Hope the photographing goes smoothly this weekend 🙂
