Bringing Country Style Indoors with Bella Boho Gifts

Sometimes I think things really do happen for a reason. I am a member of a lovely group of farmers, farmerswives and farm bloggers on Social Media. It really is lovely and very supportive through the highs and the lows of this great profession.

Through one Young Farmer blogger, Cesca Beswick, I was introduced to Bella Boho Gifts.

I have never met the lovely Fiona Gilbert who creates amazing country-themed artwork but, through countless emails and social media interaction, I really feel as if I have met a kindred spirit.

A country girl at heart, Fiona and her rugby player husband dream of a small holding of their own one day and Fiona’s work is directly inspired by her love of travels, the environment, her animals and family.

So what exactly does Fiona create?

The Lookout(Small)

The newly launched company produces a range of contemporary cut-out mount art and personalised
Scrabble and button art and already has a dedicated customer base and numerous high profile fans, something former Salisbury resident Fiona thinks comes from their ability to produce on-trend and personalised designs.

Fiona uses fabrics to create the beautiful silhouetted country themed wall art.

From flowers and dogs to farm animals, and with fabrics ranging from shabby chic pastels to country tweeds, there really is something for everyone.

There is also a delightful Border Collie range of designs with £5 from every sale of the iconic Collie Waddle going to the The Border Collie Trust.

Don’t tell Hubster but a Border Collie puppy is next on my animal list. Oops.

I had a really hard time choosing which design I wanted. With my love of stags, I was instantly drawn to that design. Then I saw the chickens which were equally beautiful and very apt.

Living on a sheep farm though, there really was only one option. Sheep.

Then I had the choice of fabrics. It was always going to be tweed. Nothing says country style than tweed and, after buying my tweed jacket, I can’t get enough and I was just about to hit send on the email to Fiona when I had a brainwave.

We had some gorgeous curtains and a blind made when we first moved to the farm and, with the remnants, the shop made us two scatter cushions which we no longer use.

I hastily took a photo of one of the cushions, in my mad way with Rosie the dog on for scale and asked if there was anyway I could send her a cushion cover.

With it being rather large check, Fiona said she couldn’t promise it would work but to send it and she would try.

Great news. It worded and I love it. Not only because it is sheep but, as I have hung it on the wall half way between the curtain and the blind, it seems to have brought the room together.

I am now thinking what to go for next. I think I will just wait for Mabel the puppy to reach adulthood and get one of her and Rosie.

You can follow Bella Boho Gifts on Facebook Twitter and Instagram and do check out their website. You will not be able to resist.

*We were sent the gorgeous sheep picture for the purpose of this review but I am so impressed with Fiona’s work that I am thinking of getting everyone the same gift for Christmas and birthdays from now on.
