Brother Max Ray Thermometre-A Review

You’d think already having had a baby, I would be a little more laid back this time. I suppose, on the whole, I am.

However there is still one area which leaves me worried all the time.

Temperature.

Is he too hot? Too cold? I especially worry at night because I am usually warm but babies feel the heat and the cold more than adults and they can’t really tell you.

Then I found the Ray thermometer from Brother Max. It is a really cute design-a sting ray, hence the name.

Not only does it look really cute in Baby G’s room but it has made me worry about heat less.

I’ve been using sleeping bags at night for the baby and, as the weather (hopefully) gets warmer, I have been worrying again as to whether to change to a lower tog sleeping bag or adjust what G has on under the sleeping bag.

There is no guess work any more. At a touch, the thermometer clearly tells me the temperature in his room and I can decide what to do on a night-by-night basis.

Not only that, the clever little gadget can also be used in the bath.

Before, I was a bit of an elbow dipper advocate but, on a number of occasions, the elbow test has been hugely out with the temperature on Ray. Either far too cool or a bit on the hot side.

My elbow may have been made redundant but Ray certainly hasn’t.

He has a clear LCD screen which blinks hot if the water is too hot and a note of the correct temperature for both bath and room is printed above the screen.

He stands on a flat surface yet swims on the water.

Boo has been eyeing him up quite a bit but thankfully, he is kept on an out of reach shelf in the nursery so she can’t get her little mitts on her brother’s thermometer.

I feel like Ray has made my life better and isn’t that just what you need when you have a baby? I have enough to worry about without trying to second guess our great British weather.

Let a little Ray of sunshine into your life. Sorry, I couldn’t resist that.
