Farmhouse Tea Bread with Earl Grey

Farmhouse Tea Bread with Earl Grey

Ingredients

  • 10 oz exotic dried fruit
  • 12 oz self raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 10-12 fluid oz strong earl grey tea made with 4 tea bags
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2oz flaked almonds

Instructions

  • Soak fruit in tea for 1 hour or, ideally, over night
  • Grease tin and turn oven on to 180 degrees
  • Mix dry ingredients together and then add the wet fruit
  • Pour into a tin and bake for 1 hour.
  • Half way through cooking, sprinkle with almonds if using.
