Fisher-Price Little People Caring for Animals Farm-A Review

Living where we do, our children learn from a very young age that we need to be kind to animals. As soon as they can walk, I have encouraged my children to go and get our dog’s food out of the cupboard and stroke her gently.

As they get older, we feed the farm animals too and it is lovely to see them stroking animals which would probably not go near adults but go bounding up to the children.

Any toy which will help in my quest for caring and kindness is a welcome in our house-especially if it is farm related.

The Fisher Price Little People Caring For Animals Farm has it all.

It is a large farm play set but folds in half for storage.

It comes complete with a farmer (amusingly for us called Farmer Jed), a chicken, a horse, a cow with a calf, a horse, a pig and some animal food which fits into the little hay racks on the stable doors.

There is a working silo which, at the turn of a button, turns the corn inside.

There is a working bell to alert the animals that it is feeding time.

One button lift the egg shells, making the eggs hatch into the little chicks underneath while the mummy chicken, sits on the nest watching on.

There is a shoot for the animals (or the farmer) to slide down.

This activity-packed little people play set is a home for all your toddler’s new friends as well as a farm and my two-and-a-half year old absolutely loves it.

He is learning how good it feels to take care of animals and the lovely songs which play at the touch of a button re-enforce the caring demands go taking care of other creatures.*

It is suitable for ages one plus but even my six year old has played with it-such is the greatness of the toy and the way farm themed toys are always a winner here.

There are a variety of songs and phrases for a cause and effect nature to your children’s play. There really is no end to the amount of imaginative play this little set can bring to your child’s toy box.

It retails at £34.99 which I think is great value for money for what is included, as well as the hours of fun my big two have already enjoyed.

All other Little People figures will also fit into the spaces on the Fisher-Price Little People Caring for Animals Farm.

We absolutely love it.

*Unlike some other toys with music, the farm play set’s music is quite enjoyable-even after the hundredth time. Music to the ears of parents, I’d say.

**We were sent the Fisher-Price Little People Caring for Animals Farm for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.

  1. Fisher Price toys will always hold a special place in my heart. I grew up in the 80s on the classic FP toys, the car garage with the wind up elevator and awesome whizz cars being a particular fave. How I wish I had kept these classics for my boys. Sometimes you come across these gem of a toy in hospital waiting rooms, I almost want to stay and play. Nice to see FP growing and developing their toys. I recently purchased some imaginex Batman toys for my now 5 year old son, I believe manufactured by FP and I can tell the same building quality and durability remains 30 years on.
