Frozen-my secret obsession

Frozen-group-580x380[1]

I’ve got a bit of a confession to make.

You know how parents up and down the country are moaning because their children are asking to watch Disney’s Frozen film over and over again?

Well I’m moaning because Boo would still rather watch Peppa Pig.

Now don’t get me wrong, I also love a bit of Peppa but really? In comparison to the lovely Elsa and Anna?

I have had Frozen on whilst cooking meals, getting dressed-even snuggled up on the sofa on a rainy afternoon but I still get the little oinks from Boo and a remote control brandished in my face in a manner that would, quite frankly, show up even a double-crossing love cheat like Prince Hans Westerguard of the Southern Isles  (I know, I know, I need help).

The only amusement Boo gets from the most amazing film I’ve ever seen the latest Disney classic is laughing when I sing Let it Go at full pelt while swirling around like a Disney Princess.

Thankfully she is still at an age when she thinks Mummy’s voice is better than anyones. I am aware this won’t last so I am milking my one-woman show for as long as I can.

I won’t give up.

I am determined that Boo will inherit my love of Disney and I will go to extreme lenghts to achieve this.

I wonder if playing Let it Go subliminally would be classed as child cruelty….

Let the storm rage on….

  1. I love this post. I am with you 100%. Mr P and I actually watched it together last night after the kids went to bed. Both of us are disney fans but this is my fave by far. I can’t stop singing all the songs. It’s amazing. Shhh don’t tell anyone. I had to beg my two year old to watch it instead of lighting mcqueen for the millionth time. I do admit I have it on in the background while we relax and get ready for bed with the kids. hahaha Maybe just maybe if they hear it enough they will both love it too. hahaha Thanks for linking up to Share With Me. And the amazing blog support. #sharewithme

  2. I am with you on this one! My Facebook feed is full of parents moaning about having to watch it again and again! But me? I am happy for it to be on!

  3. Ha ha – love this! I love Frozen, too, and have bought Boo the DVd & CD for Easter, but am burtsing to give it to her early! We saw it at the cinema, so I do know that she likes it. Today, we’re going to the Disney shop with her pocket money, too, so hoping she chooses something Frozen 😉

  4. I detest this film – Elsa’s voice when she sings goes right through me, so much so I had to turn the surround sound off of the tv when we watched it. Luckily, Carson just thought it was “good”, and for his quirky little autistic ways – this means I’ll only have to watch it about 5 more times this year, as opposed to Toy Story (once a day!!)
Popped over for #sharewithme, would love if you came and said hi back @ carsonsmummy.blogspot.co.uk xx

  5. LOL what a great post. I have to admit I’m kinda in love with the movie too. More so the soundtrack to be honest. I make the excuse when the TV is off to play the soundtrack for my youngest, but really…its for me! LOL!! #frozenlove #sharewithme
