Funky Giraffe Bibs-A Review and Competition

Bibs. They’re the staple of every new born baby’s mountain of equipment. There are many things parents could do without. Bibs are not one of them.

From saving clothes from milk deposits to the dribbles from teething, I want two main things from a bib:

1.That it stays on i.e. it doesn’t tie with velcro
2.That it absorbs liquid adequately.

If the bib doesn’t satisfy those two points, for me, I might as well not use one.

All parents at one time must have seen Velcro tying bibs attached to socks and cardigans when you have got them out of the wash. They drive me mad. To the point where they will no longer stick around your baby’s neck and are destined for the bin.

Likewise, there are some bibs which hold the liquid on the surface of the material and, when moved, the food or milk runs into our child’s neck. Not satisfactory at all.

I was asked to review some bibs from Funky Giraffe. They produce a range of funky bibs which fasten with a popper so satisfy my Velcro-ban and are incredibly absorbent.

They are made of soft material but it is a double layer ensuring no liquid will penetrate beneath it.

They are dribble bib-in style so look stylish and, with the choice as great as they have, you are sure to find something that you like.

I opted for a purple Little Prince design because, as regular readers will vouch for, Baby G really is my little prince and doesn’t he look cute modelling?

They are reasonably priced too, coming in at around £4 for a single bib, £11.50 or five or £20 for ten. You can opt for a personalising service and they have seasonal themes to choose from too.

I couldn’t be more impressed with the functionality of Funky Giraffe Bibs and they look great. To the point where you must expect people to stop you and ask where the bibs are from because it happened to us.

I also have great news. I have three Funky Giraffe bibs to give away. All you have to do is enter via the Rafflecopter below.

You can buy Funky Giraffe bibs from their website but they are also available in AustraliaItaly,  Spain, and  France.

  1. Oh I wish I saw these when Evie was younger. My sister is having a baby soon, so may have to get a few of these for her baby shower 😀 x

  2. I am totally with you on the importance of bibs not being velcro and being aborbent in the right way! We had some funky giraffe bibs or Monkey as he was such a dribbler and they were the best value ones I found – great quality and low price. They get my vote! xx #MaternityMondays

  3. Bibs, bibs, bibs! The washing basket is always full, there are a few drying on the radiators and you can find at least two in every room of the house! Our little one is quite the dribbler, she has a bib soaked in minutes, so there are always a number of bibs being used in rotation every day! Our baby loves velcro as she can pull them off – buttons all the way!

  4. Had some of these on my first and they wash really well and protect the clothing without being bulky

  5. I agree with you. Velcro sticking to other clothes in the wash drives me mad too. Love these bandana style bibs as long as they are absorbent. Some I have tried are better than others. Would love to try these.
