Change Your Bag Style With Mia Tui

There comes a point in the life of every mother when something happens. For me, G was about 15 months old.

I was totally fed up with the baby change bag. It matched the pram and did its job but I yearned for the day when I could go back to a beautiful handbag.

I tried it. I bough a regular handbag but the lack of pockets and inappropriate lining (both children use the bag as some kind of bin. Think food stuck to the inside) I gave up.

Back to the boring old changing bag.

My dreams were answered though with a Mia Tui. Their strap-line is: ‘Because life’s too short for endless bag rummaging’ and I wholeheartedly agree with them.

Since starting to use the bag, I can safely say no bag rummaging has occurred.

I choose and Emma changing bag. Not least because it was quite obviously named after me. The main features of the bag are:

Two insulated pockets for bottles or sippy cups
Clips for your keys plus a phone and pen holder
Co-ordinating clutch bag that comes with a bag
Clear PVC bag, ideal for all your wipes and creams
A changing mat effortlessly fits in the large inside pocket

The clips for my keys was the biggest help for me. I used to spend hours rummagin in my bag for my keys or putting them down while I put the children in the car or the pram in the boot and then forget where I’d put them. The key chain seems like such a simple thing but it has made me more organised and that can only be a good thing.

Likewise, the co-ordinating clutch bag is brilliant as you can put your own things in there-purse, makeup, sunglasses so, if you ever need to leave the bag when someone is looking after your child, you can take your essentials with you and not have to mess round with another bag. Your stuff is all there.

Things leak. In summer, I find suntan lotion is the biggest culprit and, even though it smells nice, there is nothing worse than putting your hand in your bag only to land in something cold and wet. Let’s face it, with kids, it could be anything.

The clear PVC bag is therefore great for storing things liable to leak.

There is also a zip across the top of the bag which I love. When you are mithered with children, the last thing you keep your eye on is your bag when it is hung over the back of the pram. Someone could easily swipe your phone or your purse. You do not need to worry with the Mia Tui Emma. Everything is safe.

The functionality of the bag is a winner. You cannot fault it in anyway. Everything has been designed with ease of use.

The thing which really appealed to me with the Emma bag is how it looks.

Since using the bag, a number of people have remarked on how lovely it is and it really is. It doesn’t look like a changing bag. If you were out without your children, no one would think of it as anything other than a really stylish bag because essentially, this is what it is.

Who doesn’t like a bag compliment now and again? I get them every time I am out with my beautiful bag and I couldn’t be more pleased.

I do think Mia Tui should rethink their strap-line though.

Something like: ‘Because life’s too short for endless bag rummaging and boring, ugly changing bags’ would work perfectly.

Mia Tui is a small business, founded and run by Charlotte who designed the bags because she was sick of spending years searching for the perfect bag that would suit her busy lifestyle.

A mother of two, working, going to the gym, doing the school run, shopping and travelling, like all of us, she has a busy life but I couldn’t find a bag that could keep up with her so she designed one herself and thankfully, shared her vision with the rest of us.

They retail at £59.99 and come in a choice of 11 colours.

  1. This bag is gorgeous! My changing bag essential at the moment is snacks to keep my daughter happy wherever we go. She’s on the move and using up endless energy, so is constantly hungry! xx

  2. I really like this. I always felt the same about a changing bag. I ended up just getting away with a handbag but it wasn’t ideal. Nice of them to name it after you as well!

  3. Ooh I love this! I am changing bag obsessed especially at the moment and am always on the lookout. I think even when I don’t need one anymore I couldn’t go back to an unorganised pocketless mess of a normal handbag. X #MaternityMondays

  8. Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any
issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing several weeks of hard
work due to no data backup. Do you have any solutions
    to stop hackers?
