My Most Popular Blog Posts of 2018

I have had some really popular blog posts this year. There are still some from other years which produce a lot of traffic but you know I love writing so I thought it only right that I share my most popular posts of the year.

My monthly Women on Farming feature has been very well recieved. The most popular ones were Emma Watkin, Lydia Watts, the ladies at Twisted Sister Flower Farm and Chloe Williams. I have decided to have a break from Women In Farming in 2019 but maybe I will bring it back one day.

I think it is fair to say that 2018 will be forever known as the year of Mrs Hinch and my post about the need for a farming version of the clean freak has proved popular. It seems such a shame that people can’t get as excited about where their food comes from as they do about disinfectant.

My tongue in cheek post about surviving being married to a farmer must have struck a chord with other farmer’s wives as that is in my top list.

The Five Worst Questions a Farmer can ask you was along similar lines and was also well received.

Farm themed birthday cakes also proved popular-even though my eldest boy wanted a Stick Man cake this year. I won’t even tell you what he wants for his fourth birthday cake. All I will say is, I hope he changes his mind.

Summer loneliness on the farm was written on a down day. The long summer can do that to you and I just wanted other farm wives and partners who are stuck in the house with sleeping children to know they are not alone.

The seven stages of lambing happen every year and I look back fondly on writing this. It really is a crazy time of year.

Following on from the success of the farm themed birthday cakes, the farm themed wedding cakes was also top of the 2018 list.

We redecorated both children’s bedrooms and, while I still haven’t blogged about the boys’ room, my daughter’s Rainbows and Unicorn make over did very well.

The final popular post was 10 Ways You Know You Have Farm Kids. As mine are under seven, it was focussed on younger children but, as you can imagine, mud was featured quite a lot.

I hope you enjoyed reading my daft writing.

Do let me know if there is anything you would like me to write about and, don’t forget to follow me on social media-Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

If you would like to read my most popular blog posts in different years, have a look at 2016 and 2017.
