Our guide to the secrets of style

Today we have a guest blogger at Farmer’s Wife and Mummy. We are entering a competition with La Redoute to capture the secrets of French style.

Given the fact that Boo, even at three, is much more stylish than me, I will hand over to her.

I may only be three but, even in my short time on earth, I believe I know a bit about style and, if you thought you did too, please be so kind as to leave all presumptions you may have at the door.

farm girl2

You see, I am a farm girl. I love getting muddy and jumping up and down in muddy puddles but-this is no excuse for letting yourself go. Even on the farm I try to look stylish and, I think you’ll agree, I pull off the skirt and wellies look off very well.

accesories

My biggest tip is accessorise.  A lovely bag  or a pair of sunglasses can do wonders for your look and, if you insist on still ‘wearing a soother,’ please make sure it’s colour co-ordinated. There really is no excuse for not matching colours up.

heels vs flats

Shoes are also a big thing. While I would prefer a heel, my mummy insists I go for the classic flat but please make sure you own a variety of colours-you will be wearing black shoes for the rest of your life.

double denim

Did you think double denim was reserved solely for the 1980s? Think again. Done correctly, this look can really impress.

working out

If you think your work out means you can slip into baggy, old clothes, please read on. Whether you go for sport luxe or ballet-chic, you must keep your style up-even when you think no one is watching you.

cleaning up

Like wise, even house work need not be a dowdy chore if you wear the right clothing.

facemask

Oh and fabulous French style always starts with a facemask, so please keep your beauty regime up to scratch.
