I agree with the width being important but, for slightly older children it can be a bit scary walking through a busy car park when they aren’t strapped into a pram or car seat and, for that reason, I think proximity to the entrance is important. The same drivers who use parent and child spaces with no children are the same who have no regard for little ones in car parks sadly.

  2. I love your thinking. I’m never parked in parent spaces before having mini M and I’m not bothered how close they are to the shop, like you say it’s about the space and being able to get your child in and out of the car. I am one of those annoying people that confronts people who park in the space without a child when I see them xx

      You’re right. It’s a right pain. You either have to leave kids in car or drag them to trolley park grr
