Siblings, May 2017

It’s been a funny old month for the siblings.

It started off with Easter which was lovely.

The older two had a great time with Boo being off school. We planned an Easter egg hunt but the weather on Easter Sunday was very wet so we opted for an indoor hunt instead.

I was a little disappointed about it but as there was chocolate to be had, the children did not mind one bit.

We are at the stage now that wherever Boo is, G wants to be-including in any ride on toy like our Little Tikes car which is far too small for Boo but which she continues to squeeze herself into and G then squeezes himself into to try and turf his sister out.

It is hilarious to watch and I am still leaving them to it-apart from when I have to prise Boo from the car because she inevitably gets stuck.

I am still making them wear matching outfits which fills me with no-end of joy. Especially the now ubiquitous Maxomarra tractor suit which I am making the most of at the moment because Baby J’s sleep suit fits him (for now).

I especially like zooming in on photos with G as he is always doing something funny on them-like this one where his finger is in the baby’s ear.

Or this one where he is squeezing his foot (which later graduated into poking him in the eye-oops).

A hospital stay for Boo has been looming over us since we got the letter about it in January. I knew it would be hard but I didn’t expect it to be the four days that is actually was.

It may have been hard for me seeing my child in hospital and not being able to have the baby with me but for the siblings, it was awful.

When I had Baby J, it wasn’t so hard for G because he had his sister with him. I’m not saying he didn’t miss me but Boo being there softened the blow.

With his favourite girl out of the picture too, it made for.a very sad and grumpy G and, the first morning we were back, he was so happy to see his big sister and Hubster said he hadn’t danced the whole time she was away (he does this funny little dance a lot).

So here we are and the hospital trip is over thank goodness so we are ending our month of siblings with relief that we got through it and anticipation at the next half term from school.

What fun can we look forward to this month?

  1. Aaw what a shame about the egg hunt! I’m loving the matching outfits, I need some matching bits for my girls now I’ve seen this. Glad Boo is home and you’re all reunited again xxx

  2. Great pictures, heart-warming account of their adventures over the last few weeks!
