A while ago, I was offered the most amazing thing to review.
There was a catch though, isn’t there always?
I had to review the Brother Max 6-in-1 thermometer on video.
Now, it has been long established that in some parts of the world, my accent needs subtitles. I embrace that. In my writing, I can be whatever dialect I want to be.
On video however, I cannot hide from my squeaky, northern voice.
I have researched vloggers extensively on YouTube. They all look so good-sat on their beds with fairy lights around the headboard. Effortlessly chatting away.
I have had no practise. I have no idea how to edit. It was bound to end in tears. Or wine. Or both.
I tried to be clever and make an animation.
I tried to involve the kids.
In the end, I waited for bedtime and shot it alone but, having no video editing skills, I couldn’t cut out the undesirable bits or the bits where I decided not to mention that this was my first video (as if you wouldn’t guess).
I am so sorry Brother Max. I have failed you. I tried so, so hard though.
All jokes aside, I think the Brother Max 6 in 1 thermometer is the most useful thing we have ever reviewed. It is so clever and brilliant.
I however am not clever and brilliant.
Notice as the filming continues, I get paler and paler.
I was sent the Brother Max 6-in-1 thermometer for the purpose of this review. I doubt they will ever ask me to review anything ever again. All opinions and terrible camera presence is my own, unfortunately.
