Why is it when you try and have a clear out your child rediscovers their long lost toys? It first happened in the middle of November. A local charity was advertising for used soft toys so I sorted out a bin liner full that Boobaloo hadn’t looked at for at least a year.
When my back was turned she went through the whole bin bag and proceeded to greet each toy like a dear, old friend.
So this week I decided to put some toys away to make room for the Christmas onslaught of my living room resembling Toys R Us.
Now I am the first to admit that Booble was a late walker (21 months) but I seriously thought she had finished with the baby walker. It hasn’t been looked at for at least a year and a few other baby toys. How wrong I was.
For the last 24 hours, the baby walker has been the most coveted toy in the house.
I give up.
Why deny the toy-shop status of your front room? I am just going to embrace it.
(And hide said toys when she is out!)
I would just like to add that this mean mummy had hidden the tub of Happy Land toys under the desk n the office until after Christmas (I hate tidying them up) but just as I had finished writing this, she found them and look at what carnage has ensued….
*Sobbing between the loud plastic crashing noises going on behind me.*
