#WhatIMade October

I’ve seen loads of memes on social media this week about the fact when Halloween is over, Christmas will be in full throttle in the retail world. To be honest, that is how I feel.

If you’re a crafter, you’ve probably been making Christmas things for ages anyway-just to get them done.

Last month, I was doing so well with Baby G’s cardigan and I almost finished the one piece body bit. However, it seems I made a mistake way back at the beginning, the result of which would mean unraveling most if what I’d done.

I was crestfallen and, to be honest, I am done with that cardigan.

I moved onto knitting some Little Gift Dolls from the Jean Greenhowe Christmas book.

They are really easy to do and, having made them dozens of times before, they restored my knitting-mojo so I am deciding on something else to knit for G using the lovely fox-coloured wool.

The food I blogged about in October had an autumnal, Halloween theme as it was the season.

I made Toffee Apple Tarts and Pumpkin and Sage Soup.

My pumpkin carving for Boo left a lot to be desired but I have a whole year to practice so I am not too worried about that.

I feel like most of the things I have made this month have lived up to my ‘much enthusiasm and little success’ tag which seems to hang around my neck like a sign to stop me.

I a not deterred though and November is another month filled with more Christmassy things to make and more hope of success.

#WhatIMade doesn’t have to be perfect. Your projects don’t even have to be finished. It really can be an online diary for bloggers to compare notes and ideas.

Saying that though, it seems Lianne from What the Brunette Says had mote success than me with her Savoury Egg Muffins. They really did look yummy and there are so many possibilities with them, I will definitely be trying them.

So come on fellow bloggers, I know you’ve been busy. Come and showcase #WhatIMade October.
