#Win a copy of How to Catch a Star and never give up reaching for the moon
One there was a girl and the girl loved the moon very much.
Thankfully her mummy got her a copy of How to Catch a Star by Oliver Jeffers which celebrates its tenth anniversary of being published this year.
You see. My girl and the boy share something in common. They both like out of reach things, up in the sky.
The difference is, the boy in How to Catch a Star may well get his star in the end. Up to now, the girl hasn’t got the moon.
However this does not stop her reaching for it.
Every time she sees it in the sky she does a little grunt as she jumps as high as she can to reach the moon.
It is so cute.
How to Catch a Star is a delightful story with beautiful illustrations about a little boy who wants to catch a star and for it to be his friend. The little boy waits day and night for the star and the story is so lovely on so many levels. It teaches children to keep reaching for the stars, no matter how far away they are. It tells them they should never give up and that they must have patience and to have hope in hopeless situations.
Does the boy catch his star? You will have to read the book yourself to find out.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of How to Catch a star, Harper Collins have given Farmer’s Wife and Mummy a lovely gift pack containing the How to Catch a Star book, a poster and a pack of glow in the dark stars for your child’s bedroom ceiling.
