#100HappyDays a blessing or a curse?

Is it just me or is anyone else struggling with #100HappyDays?

If you’ve not heard of it, you have to post a photo of something that makes you happy every day for 100 days to a social media outlet like Twitter, Pinterest or Facebook.

I thought it was a lovely idea and it is, however seven days in and I admit it. I am finding it hard.

I’ve posted photos to my twitter account of Boo…

Short of posting the remaining 93 pictures of Booble though, I am struggling to think of more things.

Or am I missing the point?

As I was writing this post, I went back to the website- http://100happydays.com/

It says you should post a photo of anythng that makes you happy from “a meet-up with a friend to a very tasty cake in the nearby coffee place, from a feeling of being at home after a hard day to a favor you didto a stranger.”

Well I’m dieting and I don’t know about you but eating salads when it’s cold outside do not make me happy. I am no drinking so no lovely pictures of a cheeky Saturday night voddy.

I suppose I could just take a photo of every animal on the farm. They do make me happy and we have quite  lot of sheep.

I’ve not photographed the rabbits for this yet or the cats. Maybe the cows would like to have their photos taken.

I have worked out we should be lambing during the 100HappyDays challenge so there is hope for more exciting pictures to come-who doesn’t love a new born lamb?

Until then, I’m afraid once the rest of the pets have posed for me, Boo could well be the only thing who makes me happy every day.

  1. I think you should post a picture of blackhearted Mr Lander, then he would know that you had forgiven him over GravyGate…

Meanwhile those pics of Boo in her ballet frock and at the doctor’s are adorable….

In the days before social media I think we called this exercise “counting your blessings”…

  2. I personally would love to see pictures of your animals. I have never heard of this particular photo challenge but at the end of the 100 days, won’t it be wonderful to look back at all that you are thankful for?

I think another interesting endeavor would be to take a photo of your daughter every day and then post them all sequentially in a video to give to her when she is grown. I wish I could have had the technology to do this when my daughter was still young. She just turned 20 years old a few days ago and being able to watch the daily changes as a ‘Then to Now’ sort of thing would have been a true treat. Your daughter is a little doll, by the way. 🙂

I love your blog and look forward to reading more!

    Sincerely,

    Amy L Beaver

  3. It’s such an interesting idea, and I’m sure there are lots of things to make you happy – your home, maybe your hair on a particular day, a cd with your favourite song on it, the radio playing that song, a lipstick or accessroy to brighten up the day, gosh, you could really go on. I suppose it’s also about levels of happiness, and nothing is going to be able to beat the joy your lovely Boo brings you, but they can still bring you happiness nonetheless unless I am totally missing the point. Your piccies of Boo certainly delighted my daughter this morning! Thanks for linking to #AllAboutYou
