A Day in the Life of a Sock Monster with Little Grippers

litte grippers title

We were recently sent some lovely socks from Little Grippers to try. Each child got a pair of lovely wellie socks which are the best present for my little farmers.

G also received a pair of normal Little Grippers socks.

If you have never heard of Little Grippers socks have “Stay On Technology” is a performance enhancing, hypo-allergenic silicon, applied to our products by robots.
It gently adheres to skin leaving no residue. It sits on the skin rather than grips, thereby minimising pressure and discomfort, moving and stretching, acting as a second skin.
It is hypo-allergenic, and approved by dermatologists providing no skin sensitisation or irritation.
Our “Stay On Technology” renews itself with every wash so lasts the life time of the garment without losing its effectiveness. It is machine washable and proven to survive extensive wash and wear tests.

The only way I can compare the silicon is it feels similar to that on strapless bras-you know to keep them up?

Well, for a bit of a laugh, I decided to do a day in the (sock) life. I was sceptical. G is the King of the sock-losers. The Houdini of sock wearing. I would go as far as saying he is a Sockdini and I doubted any sock would stay on those little legs long.

If you follow me on social media, you can’t have failed to notice my youngest child’s penchant for bare feet.

Sock pairing is a thankless task as it is but when G likes to pull one or both socks off and, either have a chew/suck and then discard, I basically buy socks each month because I can never find more than two matching pairs.

Obviously I have a tub of odd socks *just in-case* they should turn up.

So it started well.

He posed away for the pics before I put the rest of his clothes on.

We got through the first part of the morning. We were mostly at home on this day which is always a danger-zone for sock-tom-foolery.

Here he is playing. Actually with the toys rather than one hand on his foot.

image

I forgot to take a photo of him eating lunch but it was only food in his hand-not feet and then it was afternoon nap time.

image

Now don’t call me a mean mum making him climb the stairs himself-he likes it. Plus it tires him our for the nap.

Even if we get to nap time of normal sock-days, the chances of him waking up with both socks on it unlikely but it happened on this day.

*Check out the smug look on my face-sock win!

More playing ensued followed by school pick up and more playing. All whilst wearing socks-the novelty.

Tea time saw me forget to take a photo again-sorry-but here is is on the changing mat getting ready for bed. He hates the changing mat so apologies for the rubbish photo. Hubster had to hold his foot to get even this terrible photo:

I cannot believe that, at last, we have a pair of socks that G cannot pull off.

I am not ashamed of this next bit-I was so impressed with the Little Grippers that I put the same pair on him the day after. I know. It’s ok. He hasn’t got smelly feet yet so it was fine.

If only I had bought Little Grippers in the first place, I would have saved myself so much time and money.

Now really, I think Little Grippers wanted me to review the wellie socks-after all, as a family, we wear a lot of wellies.

The wellie socks also have the Stay On Technology which is still important in wellies. You have no idea how annoying it is to pull your foot out of your wellie only for your sock to remain in the boot. For the average wellie-wearer I suppose it’s not so bad but for us, I would go as far as saying it was most definitely #farmproblems.

These problems are eradicated with Little Grippers. Boo was going on a forest walk with school (it was own clothes day too) and she looked so lovely in the wellie socks and dress-quite the festival look.

Baby G’s trial of the wellie socks was a bit special. He wore them the first time he ever wore wellies. For a little farmer, that is a big deal. I even wrote a special post all about it.

Doesn’t he look cute and grown up on the horse? He loved it and we all love Little Grippers. Whenever anyone has a baby, it is Little Grippers which I will buy. I am just trying to choose which lovely patterns to buy.

*We were sent our selection of socks for the purpose of this review but I genuinely am so impressed with them. If they work for G, they will work for all babies.

Little Grippers prices start at £2.50 for baby socks and £4 for school socks. They are available direct from their website and selected independent stores across the UK, Europe, USA, Bahrain
and New Zealand.

  2. My developer is trying to persuade me to move to .net
from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on numerous websites
for about a year and am nervous about switching
to another platform. I have heard fantastic things
about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  3. Hello there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I
could locate a captcha plugin for my comment form?

I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having problems finding
    one? Thanks a lot!
