Bulletproof Coffee with Kerrygold

It’s Sunday morning. Millions of people are sitting in their beds reading the Sunday newspapers and drinking coffee.

Okay, maybe not parents. They’re sitting on sofas, watching their 316th episode of Paw Patrol already, wishing coffee came in an introveinus drip.

Well, however you are enjoying your morning brew, a culinary craze is taking off in the UK which involves putting spoonfuls of grass-fed Kerrygold butter into your morning coffee.

The benefits are apparently phenomenal, with weight loss, protection against fatige, speedier metabolism and antioxidants to name but a few. Infact, I saw a person on This Morning earlier this week who said Bulletproof coffee makes you concentrate longer-I could definately do with some of that.

According to Kerrygold, drinkers are choosing Kerrygold butter after a public recommendation by Bulletproof Coffee Guru, Dave Asprey.

Kerrygold is favoured as the natural product as it s made from milk produced by grasss-fed cows free to graze in the lush Irih countrysde.

Grass-fed butter is rich in fatty acids and betacarotenes which are ggood for the immune system and brain.

All you need to make Bulletproof coffee is coffee beans, Kerrygold Unsalted butter and Brain Octane Oil (similar to coconut oil but 18 times stronger).

So popular is the drink in America that the whole country ran out of Kerrygold. Imagine that.

Now, all importantly, how do you make Bulletproof coffee?

1. Brew to your preferred coffee method, with water just off the boil and two and a half heaped tablespoons of freshly ground coffee.

2. Add one to two heaped tablespoons of Kerrygold Unsalted Butter.

3. Pour in one to two tablespoons of Brain Octane Oil (or high-grade coconut oil).

4. Mix in a blender until the Kerrygold Unsalted Butter abd coconut oil are emulsified. The coffee shoukkd be frothy and look like a creamy latte.

5. Enjoy.

*We were sent a gift pack from Kerrygold to make Bulletproof coffee. All opinions are my own.

  1. I love Bulletproof Coffee but I find it needs to be a once every now and again treat or I may overdose! I have never made it using Kerrygold but that is the butter I always buy so I may give it a try (I have only ever made it with coconut oil-which is delish)! As always thank you for sharing Emma! 🙂

  2. As an Irish woman – I find this funny and informative! I am pretty sure this was made by Irish students who had run out of milk – and you always have some Kerrygold in the house! Hope it works, I’m not a coffee drinker and I wont be putting butter in my tea!
