Christmas Crafts-Foam Card Kits

So I know I’ve blogged about Christmas before. I know it’s only September but listen.

If, like me, you plan to make loads of stuff each year but, come December, you’ve made nothing then this year, why not try and be organised?

I am trying my best.

I will hopefully be heavily pregnant come December and I doubt I’ll want to be going around the shops so I have decided to start.

This week, Boo and I decided to make Christmas cards.

When I first saw the packet from Baker Ross, I rolled my eyes. Oh no, glue. All I could think of was the inevitable mess that was to ensue.

Guess what? There was no glue involved. All the foam components were self-stick. This, my friends, got the thumbs up from me.

So we decided to have a go at the snowman design first. We had a great time. I was there to lend a helping hand with the lettering but the rest was down to my little artist.

The snowman started off with both eyes but Boo decided it looked better on Minnie Mouse so it was lost after a while.  I know the card is not perfect but I like that. Creations by children are not supposed to be perfect. It all adds to the charm.

Then we tried the other two designs-a Father Christmas and a reindeer.

I think one-eyed snowmen and Father Christmasses could catch on

The sets come with a helpful drawing to guide you when you are making up the cards but the spaces are quite flexible and you can really, let your imagination run wild.

Not only do I feel a teeny bit smug that we have at least started our Christmas preparation, but we had a fun afternoon crafting too which always goes down well in our house.

We love Baker Ross. Why not check out their website for other exciting craft ideas? I have just ordered some wooden bunting which I am going to decorate for the living room (don’t tell Boo this is mine, all mine).

I love Christmas too.

Please note we received the foam card set for free, for the purpose of this review but we have genuinely loved Baker Ross for ages and all opinions (and artistic talent from Boo) is our own.
