Hubster’s New Trespass Coat for Christmas
You may have noticed something about my blog. There is one person missing from it quite a lot.
Hubster can be a bit camera shy about appearing on the blog too much but let’s face it, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him. My blog would have to be called wifeandmummy.com which doesn’t really have the same ring to it.
You can’t have a farmer’s wife without the farmer and it is in Winter that I start to feel a bit sorry for him. We can choose whether to go outside or not. Hubster has to go out whether he likes it or not.
Thankfully, this year Hubster will be setting out in style and warmth with his new Winter coat from Trespass.
He chose the Genesee jacket which is waterproof to 5000mm. It has both taped seams and Tres-shield performance fabric, which all work hard to defend against moisture that tries to get you wet and believe me, on the farm, it does.
It also boasts coldheat insulation and padding which means body heat will easily be retained within the jacket to help keep him warm and on the go all day.
Another great feature is the pockets. There are seven-that’s right seven outer pockets and a secret inner pocket. Perfect for change, keys, pen knives, his phone and all other things Hubster needs on hand all the time.
The faux fur trim on the hood is a lovely feature and one which made me him the Christmas classic, Stay Another Day by East 17. However it is not just for looks. It helps to catch snow and other debris so it doesn’t get into your eyes but it also gives the jacket the classic look which the parka is famous for.
The trim can be taken off though if Hubster decides it isn’t for him.
I usually go mad at Hubster because he hangs his wet coats over the radiator in the kitchen to dry-dirtying my wall and letting the scent of diesel, sheep and goodness knows what else, wafting around the house. I have found, even in the torrential rain we have experienced lately, the Genesee jacket has dried really quickly so he hasn’t even had to put it on the radiator.
I love him in his new coat. I know he is warm and dry but also he looks good too-it definitely passes the farmer test.
*Ps in case you haven’t noticed, Hubster isn’t that much of a smiler 🙂
This is no reflection on the coat, it’s just how he is.
**We were sent this Trespass coat for the purpose of this review-because I was selfless and thought he needed a warm coat more than me (good wife points). All opinions and grumpy husbands are my own.
Love seeing a review for a bloke for a change. This coat looks perfect to ward off the elements especially for a working man. Lovely read. Lizzie xo
