Persil Christmas washing-up liquid, making dirty dishes festive

What’s the worst bit of Christmas for you? The rubbish TV? The chocolate overload?
For me it’s the washing up.

We plan and cook all this delicious food but don’t ever think of the washing up at the end of it.

Things are much better at the farm. We have a dishwasher.

Shock horror, when we lived at the old house, we didn’t. That’s right. That dark, sad time is now known as LBD (life-before-dishwasher) and it really was as bleak as it sounds.

The Christmas Day washing-up could quite often be more than five sink fulls.

While I am so grateful for my dishwasher, Christmas Day quite often gets the better of me and even two dishwashers would struggle to fit all the glasses, pans and roasting dishes.

So, while I can get the majority of dirty pots into the life saver, I still have to do some by hand. Rubbish.

Well this year, the Christmas spirit is extending to my pot washing.

You see, Persil sent me a bottle of their festive scented washing up liquid so even the most crusted-on dishes won’t feel so bad with the smell of Warm Spice drifting up my nose.

It’s not just a pretty face smell though, this little beauty. It actually does what it says. I selflessly disregarded my dishwasher tonight in the name of experimentation and, the results?

The dishes were just as shiny and clean as if they had gone in the dishwasher.

Don’t take my word for it. If you’re doing your big Christmas shop in the coming days, don’t you be leaving the supermarket without a bottle of Persil Warm Spice in your shopping trolly.

*I was sent a complimentary bottle of Persil washing up liquid in return for this post but all opinions are my own.
