Remember, remember our Bonfire Night, Farm style

Like any normal family, we don’t like to do anything normal so this year, we had our bonfire night on November 4th instead of the 5th.

Maybe Guy Fawkes had planned to do it a day early himself but couldn’t gather enough gunpowder.

We did consider fire works but with animals and a sensitive daughter, we decided to just stick with the fire and do you want to know the truth? Hubster would have lit it anyway.

In true farm style, it was in an old skip but I thought that seemed safer as it was more contained.

Boo loved it outside (as usual). Especially as it was dark and we would usually be making our way to bed. Those extra 15 minutes of freedom really made for a very excited Boo.

I had a bonfire-bump shot but it looks a bit strange. I am holding Boo’s hat and I can’t decide whether my bottom looks huge or, in the dark, my arm makes it look like I have a double bump-oops.

The selfie or felfie (farm selfie) was more successful and then we tried to settle down a bit for the tantrum we knew was coming when we said let’s go in.

It may not have been a conventional Bonfire Night celebration but when did conventional become fun? For us, it was all having a bit of family time together-even for a short time.

What are you up to for Bonfire night?
