The Fisher-Price Zoom ’n Crawl Monster-The Perfect Baby Gift

Buying gifts for babies is one of the most difficult tasks known to man-even better than buying for dads.

They won’t know it’s Christmas but everyone still wants to buy them something. When you are the third child in a family where the living room already look like the scene from a burglary, a major toy store though, the task is even harder.

It is given that any toy will be checked out by your elder sibling(s) before you can even get your mitts on the toy yourself.

Thankfully, the new Fisher-Price Zoom ‘n Crawl Monster has two exciting ways to play-a sit and play option for babies and a crawl or run and play for older brothers the babies themselves once they grow older and start to move.

The playtime pal is perfect for little monsters and my dinosaur-mad toddler actually thinks it is a dinosaur and I really haven’t got the heart to correct him.

The Fisher-Price Zoom ‘n Crawl Monster comes with the main monster toy and five coloured balls.

Think bright, vibrant colours and catchy songs as well as a really exciting ‘dinosaur dance’ as the monster zips around the floor.

The act of putting the balls in the monster’s tummy is what makes the toy start up. The baby loved putting his hand in the Monster’s tummy and trying to catch the going balls.

It is great in that respect for fine motor skills and concentration as well as all of the other senses.

The toddler enjoyed this too but especially pretending that the monster was chasing him around the room.

The songs (as with all Fisher Price toys) are pleasant and not like some toys where you actually remove the batteries at bedtime.

The toy is suitable for babies nine months and over and, although Baby J will only be nine months at Christmas, he has already been enjoying playing with it.

If you are looking for a Christmas gift for a baby or a first birthday present, the is definitely it and, as you can see from the delight on my two-year-old’s face, it is one of those toys that really will grow with them.

The only good thing about being the baby in a family of three however is that when you are teething and are up in the night, mummy lets you play with all of the toys you usually have to fight for.

There is always a silver lining-and a Fisher Price toy.

The Fisher-Price Zoom ’n Crawl Monster has a RRP of £34.99.
