If it’s escaped your notice, it is Mother’s Day next Sunday and we are being bombarded with flowers, chocolates and card advertising.
If you are looking for something different this Mother’s Day, why not have a look at sending your Mum a personalised cake from Baker Days?
Let’s face it, cake is always a winner.
I opted for the Ted Teapot design letter box cake-so-called because it does what it says on the tin-it will fit through a letter box. How lovely is that?
It arrived with instructions on how to get the cake out of the tin and it really did look lovely.
As with all things edible, the test was in the tasting and it didn’t disappoint. We got a chocolate cake but there are also vanilla sponge, fruit cake, gluten free cake and dairy free cakes so they really are suitable for all diet requirements.
It was truly delicious.
There are personalised photo options so you could put a photo of grandchildren, logos or pets on the cake. Basically, anything you can think of can be done with cake at Baker Days.
The Baker Days website makes it simple to create your own special design of cake. Choose a size and flavour, then add your special message plus if you order before 2pm, they can deliver your cake the next working day, virtually anywhere in the UK.
All the letterbox cakes come complete with candles and balloons and the large cakes come with cake slicer.
They also do cakes for all occasions-birthdays, sorry, thank you, I love you, so you could basically send cake every day of the year.
The letter box cakes cost £14.99 plus postage and they really are such a good idea.
