Shopping form the Comfort of my Home with Chemist.co.uk

I am almost seven months into being the mother of three children. If there is one thing that I have asked myself frequently over the last seven months is, do I really need to go.

Anywhere.

It can seem like such a chore to get three children into the car, have enough supplies for the journey and trip and then get them out at the other end and back again that I often think is it worth it?

The thing is though, sometimes you need to go out to buy things and, while I find supermarkets do sell white a range of products, sometimes only a chemist will do.

Thankfully, I have found chemist.co.uk, an online chemist where you can shop from the comfort of your own home, when the children are in bed and have the products delivered straight to your door.

As a busy mum, this appeals to me greatly.

Added to that, Boo is back at school meaning the germs are in full throw again. We have already had one cold and, the other thing with three children is once one gets ill, they all do.

With the colder weather peeping around the corner, it was time to stock up for cold season and, some other instances.

First on my list of things to buy was sone Snuffle Babe vapour rub which can be used on all three of them when they have blocked noses and are having trouble sleeping at night.

Back to school also means the cycle of head lice treatment and prevention begins again. Thankfully, we haven’t had them yet. I can’t actually believe this as they have been rife in Boo’s class but I did buy some Vosene Kids head lice repelling shampoo-just to be on the safe side.

The other thing that is imminent is teething. The old two both had their first two bottom teeth at this end but Baby J is yet to have any teeth. The red cheeks, dribbling and chewing on anything he can get his little, chubby hands on though, reminds me that they could make an appearance at any moment so I armed myself with Calgel, Nelsons teething granules and Calpol-a must for any teething baby.

I can’t go to a chemist (either online or in person) without stocking up on formula so a box of Baby J’s preferred formula went into the basket too.

Next the fun bit-a couple of things for me. Hubster snores so I regularly wear ear plugs in bed. All they do is drown out the background noise-the snoring so I still hear the children if the cry but I get a good night’s sleep rather than lying there getting angry at the snoring.

My order came to £37.13 and delivery is £3.49. I don’t mind paying delivery because it would probably cost similar in fuel and parking to go to a shop and the added bonus of easy shopping, online is a big positive of me.

The ease of navigating around the website was really good. It was clear and unfussy. The items arrived quickly and well packaged in bubble wrap to avoid any breakages in transit.

Being an online retailer, the prices are also very competitive. The Calpol, for example, was 61p cheaper than where I usually buy it from.

The milk formula was more expensive than the supermarket but I have put that down to it being more of a specialist milk (Baby J has Comfort milk) I looked at the other formulas and, to my knowledge, they seemed to be a similar price.

Like I said, the advantage of not having to drag three children shopping is a big enough advantage for me but my experience with chemist.co.uk is so positive that I will definitely be using them again. They sell all things a real life chemist would sell but with no hassle of having to go.

*We were sent a voucher to purchase our items from chemist.co.uk but all opinions are my own.
