Finger Painting Christmas Cards

It’s never too early to start the Christmas crafting in my book-especially if you’re making homemade things for a lot of people.

For that reason, I have put the children to work already.

In the last week or so we have been finger painting up a storm-all in the name of Christmas cards.

As part of our Baker Ross Ambassadorship, we were sent two different sets of cards to make using our fingers.

Boo relished the chance to get her hands dirty and, I relished the chance of using Baby G’s chubby little fingers to have a go too.

It is such a nice idea getting children to make cards and decorations and to get involved. Each card is unique and it really adds the personal touch.

The first pack we were sent consisted of wintry scenes and the illustrations hinted things like the robin’s red breast or the snowman’s hat should be the place to print your finger.

Being the diva that she is though, Boo had other ideas about where best to print her fingers (and the whole stamp pad) so, once again, I let her artistic license do the work.

The next exercise was to use your finger to print Christmas wreaths. You then place a photo of your children or whatever else in the middle of the wreath and you can give them out as tree decorations.

They would even make nice gift tags-you could place a photo of the gift’s recipient in the space.

We even had a Frozen exercise with some lovely snowflake stamps while Booble sang us Let It Go.

So what are you waiting for? As I write this, there are only seven weeks until the big day and postage dates for cards are even earlier.
