Our Christmas and New Year 2015
Did you have a good Christmas and New Year? I have had a bit of time off from my blog and it has done me the world of good.
Hubster got to spend time with us over the festive period which was a nice change.
As the first term of Boo’s school year ended, we got to watch her in her first Nativity play as a star and she really was a star in our eyes.
The Sunday before Christmas, we went to a near by garden centre and went on a miniature railway to see Santa.
Then, on the Tuesday, I took the kids to another garden centre for breakfast with Father Christmas which they both enjoyed.
Christmas Eve saw them getting packed off to my parents while I spent a good few hours prepping veg and tidying up.
I really enjoyed putting them in matching pyjamas. Boo was awake at 1, 2 and 3 am and then woke her brother up at the last awakening. Thankfully, some stern hissing to her and a bit of milk for the baby saw our next wake-up call at 7am and the present carnage ensued.
Boo loved her stocking and, despite all of the thought (and money) that went into her gifts, her favourite thing on Christmas Day was an ice cream van stocking filler. It just goes to show you.
While Baby G obviously didn’t understand what was going on, he did catch on to the excitement and a fun-filled day was had by all. We had nine for Christmas Dinner and, once the dinner was on plates, I too enjoyed the day.
It was a magical first Christmas.
Boxing Day saw another family party and then, we celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary a few days after Christmas.
We went out for a meal for the first time which was truly special. While I never complain about having a baby on my knee for every meal times and another child whining at me that she is all done and wants something out of the treat cupboard, to get dressed up for a change, put on some heels and have a few hours with my husband was lovely. It took us a good hour though to stop talking about the children.
That night, the baby was up a few times and Boo got up at 6am so New Year’s Eve saw us going to bed well before midnight.
We were blessed with our boy in 2015 and are looking forward to our adventures as a family of four in 2016.
While January can be a quiet month for many people, we have a fifth and a first birthday to look forward to and I for one cannot wait.
Happy New Year to all. I hope your year is blessed with health, wealth and happiness and maybe one more baby.
Only joking.
I really hope you come with me this year for another year of blogging.
