Christmas at Bents 2015
It seems to have become an annual occurrence on the blog. I visit my local garden centre at Christmas and write about it.
You can read about my 2013 visit here and my 2014 visit here.
This year has been no different. I am a little later at publishing but, being a lady of leisure these days (said no mother of two children and a grown up farmer child, ever) I have been able to visit Bents Garden and Home a lot more than usual.
Since my post last year, Bents has underdone a transformation like no other. With a new extension, it now boasts a food hall, pet shop (plus a dog-friendly cafe, grooming parlour etc), dedicated children’s clothing and toy boutique, a craft shop and much more.

As ever though, the Christmas displays are beautiful.
My favourite being the Victorian Christmas-inspired displays.
For me, I will never get enough of tartan at Christmas. Forget that, I will never get enough of tartan all year round.
Boo always loves going to Bents and I afraid Baby G has been in training from a very young age. I think my first outing with him post C-section was to Bents and, for me, like Tiffany’s was to Audrey Hepburn, it never fails to make me happy.
The model villages are Boo’s favourite bit.
I did go quite a lot over half-term. So much so that I underwent a self-imposed ban so as not to spoil the surprise of the Christmas displays that were being put up.
Even though I prefer a traditional Christmas look, it doesn’t stop me from appreciating the more modern décor too.
I love what they have done with this caravan.
I am sure I will be back a good few times before the big day itself and I have even booked Boo in to have breakfast with Santa there when she finishes school.
Bents really is a Christmas tradition in our house and we will never get tired of it. I am just glad we live so close.
Aah we really must meet at Bents for an incredibly expensive but gorgeous coffee & cake! We went a couple of weeks ago – I am now working on Dermot for him to let us have a Vintage pink tree! x
oooo that sounds good to me. I will start a petition. Every home needs a pink tree-vintage or not 😉 x
