10 Signs You’re Not Done Having Babies

1. The maternity section is still the first section you go to in Next sales.

2. You need a new pram/pushchair. You should go for a simple umbrella fold effort but instead? You are looking at beauties which could easily be adapted for two small, none-walking children.

3. You have kept every item of clothing from Previous babies. Carefully boxed in sizes and labelled boy or girl.

4. You looked at your baby’s latest coat (in navy) and ‘a girl could wear that too’ actually went through my mind.

5. Despite not ‘trying for a baby’ (yet), you still feel a bit sad when Mother Nature calls each month.

6. I have documented before about my pregnancy test addiction. You *may* have an emergency supply. For emergencies, obviously.

7. You still look longingly at newborn babies.

8. You ask your children regularly if they would like another brother or sister. The answer changes frequently.

9. Should it happen, you have worked out the car seat situation in the car for family outings.

10. You regularly bounce baby names around conversations with your husband. Would they go with the names you’ve used?

This post was inspired by the brilliant Anna from Zeit My Geist who wrote 20 Signs You’re So Not Done Having Babies.

  1. Hmm according to this list I am definitely not done having babies!I do pretty much all of these apart from the pregnancy test stash..they are just way too expensive!xx #maternitymondays

  2. Well I have 2 kids, the youngest is 6 months….I won’t ever say never but my hubby really doesn’t want another! Tricky! Thanks for hosting 🙂 #maternitymondays

  3. I am done! I do still get really broody when I see a newborn. And it is sad when you know you have had your last. But Two is it for me. Because I have two boys I am constantly asked “are you going to try for a girl now?” No! When I did try for babies, I did exactly that, try for babies, gender was irrelevant! Gone off on a bit of a rant there. Sorry! #MaternityMondays

  4. I sometimes have a what if moment, but I am too old now. It was hard enough with DS2, who has only just turned 1. And he was the miracle the consultant tried to tell us we wouldn’t have. I have things saved though. For my youngest sister, who I hope and pray will be blessed with what she desires.

  5. Great post, though I don’t immediately look at the maternity clothes and I would like another baby at some point. I guess, that’s a sign I’m not quite ready for no 2 yet! #maternitymondays

  6. O yes, the pram checking … I can relate to that. And #3 … indeed, every item boxed up and labelled … why didn’t I just get rid of them if I was thinking of another one? Oh, yes, it’s for the memories 🙂 #MaternityMondays
