Beautiful Handmade Jewellery from Athaid
As a crafter myself-albeit an unsuccessful one (nothing ever works out for me) I always enjoy seeing gorgeous things made with love and imagination.
I came across Athaid on social media because she is also a farmer’s wife and mum of two. Made in Scotland by Sarah, the beautiful things in Sarah’s Etsy shop range from necklaces to lamp shades and other pretty things.
Her business began after she set up a craft group in her local village and one of the first events was to learn about crochet.
She says she was hooked but wanted to make something modern and funky.
After a bit of research, she stumbled upon some recycled t-shirt yarn and Athaid was born.
With vibrant colours and bold textures, Sarah was hooked and the delightful designs are amazing.
I was sent a leopard print necklace which I really love. It is right up my animal print street and, as I wear so much black, it will not only go with everything but it will lift even the dullest of outfit.
With small children, I actually struggle to wear most jewellery with little hands making a grab at it and, either pulling it out, off or snapping it all together.
I am so pleased that there is no chance of snapping my Athaid necklace and, even if the mucky paws grabbing it are dirty ones, I can wash the necklace and it will be like new again.
Ideal as a gift for any occasion, you only have to take a look at Athaid’s Facebook and Instagram accounts to see the eye Sarah has for colour and design.
Necklaces start from a dry reasonable £8.50 and include free shipping.
I know where I’m going for Christmas shopping.
If you like what you see, head over to the Athaid Etsy shop or follow Athaid on Facebook and Instagram. You will not be disappointed.
I was sent my necklace for the purpose of this review but all opinions are my own.
