If you’re into camping or the great outdoors, you’ve probably heard of OLPRO.
A family business, they were founded in 2011 because they felt there just weren’t any good quality camping equipment aimed at families.
They also wanted something fun, funky and suitable for the Great British outdoors.
Baby G was sent an OLPRO Husk baby cup to try out. I loved the packaging when it arrived. It looks really natural and not what my preconceived notions of camping equipment were at all.
The Husk Tableware range is made from rice husk (the little shell rice comes in) which I think is intriguing in itself.
The products are eco-friendly, biodegradable and does not contain any harmful substances at all.
Rice husk is an agricultural waste. Annually, the world’s rice production is approximately 500 million tonnes. Of this, the ratio of rice husk to rice is approximately 1:4, which is equivalent to about 125 million tonnes of rice husks produced each year. This is right up my farmer’s wife (and #farmbaby2015) street.
The baby cup is a modern looking eco friendly baby cup suitable for hot or cold drinks with a handle (great for small grips) and a silicon cover (also good for teething it seems). It is available in four colours and is not only freezer safe, it is also microwave safe-up to three minutes.
It is 1.27 times harder than glass. High density with no pores prevents bacteria, Husk has antibacterial properties.
The high density with no pores prevents bacteria and along side the natural antibacterial properties of Husk means an extremely safe mug.
The cover of the baby cup is made from safe to consume silicon. The cup can safely hold liquids as cold as -30 up to 120 degrees Celsius so perfect for hot milk and even hot chocolate as well as cold drinks.
Because it’s made from pure Husk it also contains no Formaldehyde or metallic substances and is BPA free.
Perfect for the little farmer in the great outdoors.
I wonder if there is a cup holder on a tractor?
The OLPRO baby cup retails at £6.99. It is available from their online store, via Tesco, Argos, Halfords, The Range, Tamworth Camping, Capital Outdoors or Yeomans.
