Preparing for #LambingLive2015
So #Lambing2015 is nearly upon us. This weekend saw us move the pregnant ewes from their usual field to one nearer the house so we can keep an eye on them.
It is great because we can see them from our bedroom window so Hubster has a look out every morning to see if any newbies have been born over night.
Miraculously, he can tell which ones are new. How clever is that?
So we took the trailer and Hubster, along with his farm helpers and a quad bike, rounded up the sheep into a corral that Hubster made especially for this purpose.
When the hard work was over, Boo, Beb and I sauntered over to watch them being loaded. He may be seven weeks old but we are definitely getting the little lad used to livestock. Boo is an old hand now and knows the score.
To be fair, she actually just enjoyed the ride in Daddy’s car and Beb fell asleep but I didn’t admit that to Hubster.
For Beb, it is never too early to learn in Daddy’s book. As you can see though, he found it fascinating.
So it is now a waiting game. There maybe two more weeks to wait until our first little legs of lamb appear (I know, sorry).
I love Spring on the farm.
All of the ones at college are pretty much delivered. I loved helping deliver lambs.
