The Mummy Tag

I’ve been dying to do one of these ‘meme’ question and answer posts for ages but someone has to nominate you. Thankfully, Jo at the fabulous http://notafrumpymum.com came to my rescue so here it is. A set of 20 questions about parenting.
1.Are you a Stay at Home Mum, or a Working Mum?
I went back to work four days a week, six months after having boo but cut that down to two days in July last year for a variety of reasons. I love spending five days with the Booble. The only time I felt guilty was when a woman at work said my working week is like her weekend. I do help at the farm though.
2. Would you have it any other way?
It would be lovely to be a stay at home mum but at the moment, I’ll stick with two days thank you.
3. Do you co-sleep?
Haha this made me laugh. Not intentionally, Up to being two, Boo was a fabulous sleeper, went to sleep herself and, often did not wake until after 8. Something happened at two. I think it was the toddler bed. She regularly appears at the hubster’s side of the bed (he’s softer than me) and appears between us. Hopefully it’s just a phase-can a phase last over a year?

4. What is your one must-have item for your baby?

I’m going to have to copy Jo here and say baby wipes. Who knew they were such a versatile item? They clean stains off carpets, make-up off faces and dirt of muddy dogs. Winner.
5. How many kids do you plan on having?
I really, really want four but I think I’ve left it too late and, to be honest, right now I’d be more than happy with two.

6. Date nights? How many do you have per month?
Our last night out was July last year and Boo trampolined off my mum’s bed so she ended up coming home. It doesn’t bother me. I did plenty of going out before we had her. We are planning to go out for the hubster’s birthday in a couple of weeks. Let’s hope she stays in the bed this time.
7. Your child’s favourite show?
Peppa Pig, Peppa Pig and more Peppa pig. She does like Balamory (which I hate), Mr Tumble and Raa Raa but if I need to get house work done, Peppa wins every time.

8. Name one thing you bought before you had the baby and never ended up using?
A nappy diposal bin. It was in the sale for 50p at ASDA so I thought it would be rude not to. I used it for a week and it was so disgusting when I emptied it that I donated it (clean) to my dad to use in his garage.

9. Your child’s favourite food?
Chicken and choc.

10. How many cars does your family have?
1 family car, 1 van, 3 tractors and various other farm machinery.

11. Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now?
I put three stone on during pregnancy but lost two of those by the time Boo was two weeks old. That last stone is still with us I’m afraid but I am trying.

12. Dream holiday with your kids?
Either a lovely beach holiday or, purely for Minnie Mouse purposes, Disneyland-either Florida or Paris, I’m not fussy.

13.Dream holiday without your kids?
I know this sounds cliché but I wouldn’t rest without Boo so a holiday would only be a dream if we were all together. I did want to go to Mexico on honeymoon but we couldn’t go due to Boo being born and farm commitments so maybe my beach holiday mentioned before could be there,

14. How has your life changed since having kids?
My life revolves around Boo. I buy her the clothes and shoes I used to buy myself. My social life involves kids parties, activities and parks. I wouldn’t change it for the world.

15. Where do you shop for your kids?
Next, supermarkers, H&M.

16. Favourite make-up and skincare products?
Clinique 3-step and blusher.

17. Huggies or Pampers?
Pampers all the way. I tried Huggies when Boo was born but many leaks made me go back to Pampers and I have never reverted.

18. Have you always wanted kids?
I suppose I have but I have suffered with PCOS so I never thought I would be able to have them. When I was pregnant with Boo, it was a lovely surprise but I actually thought I was going through the menopause rather than being pregnant.

19. Best part of being a mum?
The kisses and the unconditional love. Your actions and the way you bring these little people up shapes someone’s whole character and life. What better job could there be?

So that’s it! I’ve finally done it. Now I have to tag some other bloggers so that they can join in the fun.

I’m choose *drum roll…..

  1. Your comment about the nappy bin made me laugh, I loved mine and used it until just before O turned 2! I think it’s the lazy girl in me coming out as I couldn’t be bothered to keep taking the nappy out to the bin. Lovely to get to know you a bit better 🙂
