The Summer Infant My Size Potty-A Review
I can honestly say that, for me, potty training is the worst part of being a parent. I just don’t think I am very good at it.
Added to that, once you’ve got them used to sitting on a potty, you then have to get them used to sitting on a regular toilet and that too can be hard.
Thankfully, Summer Infant has come to the rescue with the My Size Potty. It is, essentially, a potty in the shape of a toilet. Why has no one thought of this before?
G is 17 months and I think it is time to at least have a potty in the room. I plan to go at his pace and, while he might not be ready for potty training for a while (or not), just letting him familiarise himself with it is a good thing.
Familiarise himself, he did. It works like any other potty-it has a seat on which your child sits with a removable tray for the gifts they will eventually leave.
It is really sturdy and easily took the weight of my five year old who had to have a go herself when she saw her brother had a new toy.
There is a handy little draw on the top of the ‘cistern’ to hide away toilet paper or wipes and, the best bit?
The chain makes a flushing sound.
Oh both children thought this was absolutely amazing. There is also a little giggle sound after the flush and, they have both played with it for hours.
Potty training will not seem like such a great shock for G when he has seen and played with his own little toilet for months in advance.
It is priced at around £34.99 which is about normal for novelty potties and we couldn’t be more pleased.
We were sent our Summer Infant My Size Potty for the purpose of this review but all opinions are my own.
He he it looks like fun, But I think the flush would get on my nerves!
Thats such a groovy potty!
