End of an era-our last class with JoJo’s Music

then and now

Two years ago, when we were thinking of moving to the farm, I started looking for classes to do with Boo in Culcheth.

I saw a sign for JoJo’s Music and emailed to find out more. Boo was just one.

Roll on two years and today was our last class because Boo starts pre-school after Easter. Cue an ocean of tears from me because a) I am sad that Boo is growing up and b) I really, really, loved going to JoJo’s.

Joanne Manaton is a mum who, after the birth of her daughter, wanted a job that fitted in with school.

The classes are term-time only and are themed each half term.

Jo writes all of her songs and performs then beautifully-even when dancing. Many pop stars can’t manage that.

The last term was all about the weather so there was a brilliant blues-style Jack Frost song and Boo’s favourite about the sun as she got to wear sunglasses.

Every term I had a different favourite song. During the transport module there was a choo choo song and all of the children got to roll trains, cars and other things around the room.

Each song has a different prop from seashells in the holiday term to bicycle bells and even a little Christmas tree in December where each child gets to hang a bauble on the tree.

There is always the part where the instruments get brought out and another where the kids get to bang percussion sticks together-but again, to a different song each term.

It really is amazing. Jo is so clever coming up with everything but it is more than that, you can tell she genuinely loves her job and all the children (and parents) love her back.

I have never experienced a toddler class it. JoJo’s is fresh new and imaginative, not like some of the other well known classes for tinies that are around.

She has a selective franchise too so if you are in the Culcheth, Timperley, Sale or Stockport area, do give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I really need to get another child so we can go back.

We’ve both made lovely friends and met some lovely people through JoJo’s Music.

This is not a sponsored post. We have both had the best time at JoJo’s music and I wish we could go every Friday forever!
