Boo turns 5
I feel like I’ve neglected Boo on the blog in the last year. I obviously haven’t in real life but her brother has taken over in terms of what I have written about.
Boo has had a big year herself though. Not least with the arrival of Baby G which, apart from a bit of adjustment at the beginning, had been a huge success.
She’s never been that fussed on playing dolls so she has not been the type of sister who wanted to hold the baby all the time. In fact, I am not sure she ever had him on her knee but they have formed a special bond which has been lovely to watch.
Boo’s big milestones this year have been finishing nursery and starting school which she has taken in her stride.
She loves school which I am so pleased about and she surprises us every day with the things she has learnt and how much she has come on.
Boo is a happy little girl who loves nothing better than playing. Her favourite toys are still Happy Land and her special Minnie Mouse but she also loves pretending she is on the phone and having a play with my make up, as well as the dreaded stickers.
I already got her a play shop as her present but, last week, daddy decided to get her a little pony too. Unfortunately, Boo hasn’t yet developed my total love of animals but we are hoping little Blaze will help teach her to look after things and ignite a love of all creatures.
We brought Blaze out the day before her birthday so she could see him properly-rather than rush off to school.
We had a family party because she didn’t seem that fussed about a big birthday party and she said she would like a Smarties cake so I made her one of those with a secret Smarties centre.
When I think of the last five years, it actually seems like five minutes and my eyes fill with tears thinking about what a beautiful, kind little girl we have.
She s a gift and we are so lucky.
Happy 5th birthday Betty Boo.
Happy birthday Boo.I don’t write as much about my eldest as she is at school and there isn’t so much to blog about.
