Thank Dad this Father’s Day with a lovely bacon butty treat.
Get two slices of Roberts bread-we like the thick white or we like the 50% white 50% wholemeal.
Put two rashers of bacon per person under the grill, toast the bread, spread with proper butter and nestle the bacon between the two slices.
The bog decision however is which sauce-ketchup or brown? I prefer brown but Hubster is all about the ketchup and it is his day after all.
Roberts have also come up with some top tips for the perfect bacon sandwich:
1) When it comes to the ultimate bacon butty there’s no contest, white sliced bread trumps all other options. Roberts Soft & Fluffy Loaf, based upon 125 years of baking experience and made from the finest ingredients, is the perfect choice. All you need to decide is medium, thick or extra thick.
2) There’s lots of choice for your bacon – dry cured, smoked, unsmoked, streaky, back. Whatever your preferred choice is, make sure you don’t skimp on the rashers!
3) Cook the bacon each side in a hot frying pan or under a hot grill until evenly cooked. Leave it a little longer if your dad likes it extra crispy. There’s no pretty way to serve a bacon butty. Top the bacon with a good dollop of your favourite sauce and you’re good to go!

Whichever way you like your bacon butty, treat your dad this Father’s Day and check out the Roberts Facebook page for tips, competitions and more.
