The Manchester Cake & Bake Show This November-A Fab Competition

The Cake & Bake Show, the UK’s biggest baking show is coming to Manchester, Event City from November the 12th-15th and I cannot wait.

The show organisers have just announced that, for the first time, a Great British Bake Off Live Stage will be at this year’s shows, where visitors will be able to see contestants from the current series as well as former champions Edd Kimber, Jo Wheatley and John Whaite whip up an array of sweet treats LIVE on stage. Yay.

Baking fever has gripped the nation once again and viewing figures for the GBBO reached 9.8 million for the September 2nd episode – that’s 43.8 per cent of the viewing public. Now fans of the show will have the opportunity to see the stars past and present and indulge their passion for all things baking! So whether amateur, hobby or professional baker, visitors will be able to pick up baking tips and recipes from famous GBBO faces and keen bakers will also get the opportunity to bring in their own successes to The Great British Bake Off Live section at the show for the celebrity bakers to taste.

John Whaite, who was born in Wigan and was crowned champion of GBBO series three in 2012, says:

I’m thrilled to hear that the nation’s favourite baking show which has reignited our passion for baking is joining the Cake & Bake Show. Fun times ahead. I am really looking forward to meeting a certain farmer’s wife”.*

The Cake & Bake Show brings all the nation’s best loved chefs, TV personalities and cake experts including Rosemary Shrager, Lisa Faulkner, Eric Lanlard, Gregg Wallace, Aaron Craze, Phil Vickery, Wendi Peters and more.

There will be a full program of star speakers from the cake world will take to the stage each day in a series of delicious demos.

If you are bonkers about bread or passionate about pies, then The Baking Classroom is for you, with a full program of delicious baking demos by leading artisan bakers and baking experts.

There is also a decorating & finishing classroom where you can improve your skills and learn new techniques in this interactive classroom for cake decorating enthusiasts.

As well as exhibition and market stands where you can discover all the latest baking and decorating techniques and innovations from leading experts, and enjoy an array of freshly baked produce from artisan bakers and producers.
