Is it just me or is anyone else struggling with #100HappyDays?
If you’ve not heard of it, you have to post a photo of something that makes you happy every day for 100 days to a social media outlet like Twitter, Pinterest or Facebook.
I thought it was a lovely idea and it is, however seven days in and I admit it. I am finding it hard.
I’ve posted photos to my twitter account of Boo…
Boo…
chickens…
a new hand bag (bought with money I should have spent on the food shopping, the week before payday-oops…
a tree with Chinese lanterns on it in Manchester…
more Boo…
and the dog…
Short of posting the remaining 93 pictures of Booble though, I am struggling to think of more things.
Or am I missing the point?
As I was writing this post, I went back to the website- http://100happydays.com/
It says you should post a photo of anythng that makes you happy from “a meet-up with a friend to a very tasty cake in the nearby coffee place, from a feeling of being at home after a hard day to a favor you didto a stranger.”
Well I’m dieting and I don’t know about you but eating salads when it’s cold outside do not make me happy. I am no drinking so no lovely pictures of a cheeky Saturday night voddy.
I suppose I could just take a photo of every animal on the farm. They do make me happy and we have quite lot of sheep.
I’ve not photographed the rabbits for this yet or the cats. Maybe the cows would like to have their photos taken.
I have worked out we should be lambing during the 100HappyDays challenge so there is hope for more exciting pictures to come-who doesn’t love a new born lamb?
Until then, I’m afraid once the rest of the pets have posed for me, Boo could well be the only thing who makes me happy every day.

I haven’t heard of this challenge before, but I think I might find it challenginf. Taking joy and turning it into an obligation, almost? I get the idea, but an obligation is probably what it would feel like.
I know!! I am going to see it through though…we’ll see 😉
I think you should post a picture of blackhearted Mr Lander, then he would know that you had forgiven him over GravyGate…
Meanwhile those pics of Boo in her ballet frock and at the doctor’s are adorable….
In the days before social media I think we called this exercise “counting your blessings”…
you’re right I didn’t think of my husband making me happy hahaha. I do count my blessings but all my blessings are Boo so I think it would be boring for others 😉 xxx
I personally would love to see pictures of your animals. I have never heard of this particular photo challenge but at the end of the 100 days, won’t it be wonderful to look back at all that you are thankful for?
I think another interesting endeavor would be to take a photo of your daughter every day and then post them all sequentially in a video to give to her when she is grown. I wish I could have had the technology to do this when my daughter was still young. She just turned 20 years old a few days ago and being able to watch the daily changes as a ‘Then to Now’ sort of thing would have been a true treat. Your daughter is a little doll, by the way. 🙂
I love your blog and look forward to reading more!
Sincerely,
Amy L Beaver
Thank you so much 🙂 i wish id taken the every day photos of my daughter too but i think I’ve left it too late because she’s three 🙁 maybe i could start now. The latest pics have all been animals. Yesterday was our goldfish he he
It’s such an interesting idea, and I’m sure there are lots of things to make you happy – your home, maybe your hair on a particular day, a cd with your favourite song on it, the radio playing that song, a lipstick or accessroy to brighten up the day, gosh, you could really go on. I suppose it’s also about levels of happiness, and nothing is going to be able to beat the joy your lovely Boo brings you, but they can still bring you happiness nonetheless unless I am totally missing the point. Your piccies of Boo certainly delighted my daughter this morning! Thanks for linking to #AllAboutYou
Just a thought, but what about a few selfies? Spesh if you are managing to stick to healthy eating and cutting out alcohol, you must be making yourself happy? ;)) Thanks for linking up to #AllAboutYou
He he i might have a go 🙂 thank you x
